Carbon papers.-The process for the manufacture of carbon papers according to the parent Specification is modified by the application to the paper of a solution in a volatile solvent of natural or artificial caoutchouc, guttapercha, balata, or isomers thereof, together with softening-agents such as ethyl phthalate, tricresylic phosphate, oils, fats, or fatty acids, and vulcanizing agents or vulcanizing accelerators if desired, the solvent being then partially or wholly evaporated, and a layer of colour of the usual composition subsequently applied. The colour composition may be covered with a further layer of caoutchouc &c. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers also to the use of natural or synthetic resins, esters, ethers, or the like, or of mixtures of these substances with the caoutchouc or the like. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
