Abstract

320,524. Babcock & Wilcox, Ltd., and Lennox, A. Oct. 15, 1928. Carriers and receptacles, attaching to chains. - The axles or joint pins of conveyer chains are formed with a peripheral groove b which receives a portion of a locking washer d having an opening e of greater dimensions in one direction than the axle. The washer is fitted in position by passing it over the axle in a position of 90‹ to that shown in Fig. 1, and then after turning it through a right angle drawing it into engagement with the groove. The washer is prevented from turning by the engagement of a split pin f passed through it with a flat c on the axle.
