Abstract

320,368. Whiteman, H. E. June 11, 1928. Catamenial appliances. -A sanitary towel or the like comprises a filling composed of highly absorbent cellulose wadding in a fragmentary state. In the construction described a pad 10 is formed of the fragmentary cellulose wadding, a wrapping 11 composed of a number of layers of cellulose wadding is wrapped round it, and the assemblage thus formed is enclosed in an outer covering 12 of fine gauze. In a modification there are placed between the pad and the wrapping, on one side, several sheets of cellulose wadding to constitute a protective layer. Specification 233,917 is referred to.
