319,503. Panzireff, N. K. Oct. 3, 1928. Driving-chains with separate joint pins.-A chain capable of being dismantled readily comprises link plates having two elongated holes 2 provided with wider parts 3 near the middle of the link for the insertion of the pins 5, the contracted neck portions 6, Fig. 5, of which enable them to slide to the ends of the link, and the accidental withdrawal of the pins is prevented by inserting blocking-pins 8 into central holes 4 in the links, and if necessary fitting washers 9 to the pins 8 to cover the wide parts 3 of the holes, as shown in Fig. 2. Rollers may be mounted on the pins 8 to enable these to be used, like the pins 5, for engaging sprocket teeth.
