Abstract

319,497. Procter, E. W., and Procter, E. A. Sept. 28, 1928. Cutting and slicing vegetables.-In a machine for cutting potatoes or other vegetables into chips, in which the vegetable is pressed on to intersecting knives by a slotted die borne on a carrier actuated by a hand lever through the medium of a cam, the carrier is automatically restored to its original position by a spring on a lever formed integrally with a slotted cam in the slot of which runs a roller connected by links with a roller on the carrier on which the outer surface of the cam bears.
