Abstract

319,428. Pisi, U. July 4, 1928. Smoke-tubesuperheaters.-In a boiler having firetubes 21 extending longitudinally through water tubes 20, superheating tubes 27 are inserted in the firetubes. The water tubes are connected to front and rear headers 16 opening into longitudinal drums 18. The firetubes project through the outer walls of the headers. The superheating-tubes in vertical rows of water tubes are connected in series by short vertical headers 28. The steam is led from the drums to the lowest horizontal row of superheating tubes through pipes 25.
