Roofs; sides.-A rail or road vehicle A is provided with a roof T carried on fixed supports C at one side and hinged or detachable supports (not shown) at the opposite side, and with brackets E secured to the floor carrying winding gear, the hinged or detachable supports, being moved out of the way for loading rails, girders, timber &c. on to the vehicle. The sides R of the vehicle are hinged to form a step or platform and hand-rails (not shown) are provided.
