Cheque-books.-A detachable. cover for cheque-books &c. consists of a back strip a, Fig. 1, with side strips b, c hinged to its edges, and covers d, c respectively hinged to the side strips, which are provided with co-operating snapfastener heads h and stems g to engage within apertures k adjacent to the back edge of a pad of cheques i which are bound together by a stitch j. The stems g of the fasteners are of less diameter than the apertures k, and the heads h are substantially of the same diameter as the apertures, which are so arranged that when the fasteners are engaged within them the back edge of the pad is held rigidly against the back a of the cover. The heads and stems of the fasteners are secured to the strips b, c by narrow parallel flanges h<1>, g<1>, Fig. 3, and the hinging together of the strips and cover boards is effected in known manner by an outer binding-sheet f of fabric or other material.
