Abstract

305,119. Adolf, J. Jan. 31, 1928, [Convention date]. Joints with longitudinal pressure and with yielding outer part compressed. - The adjacent ends i, k of two hose pipes a, bare enlarged by the insertion o f conical nipples c, d and are surrounded by external flanged rings f, g adapted to bear against the said enlargements and to be drawn together by a coupling nut h. The nipples c, d are provided exteriorly with a deep thread having a sharp edge adapted to cut into the hose and have an internal diameter equal to that of the hose, while the outer ends thereof are provided with holes e for engagement with a screwing key. The ends of the hose are arranged to project slightly beyond the conical nipples so as to press against each other after coupling and secure fluid-tightness. Specification 12599/05 is referred to.
