Abstract
304,588. Vuia, T., and Yvonneau, E. Jan. 21, 1928, [Convention date]. Instantaneous or flash generators for producing high pressure superheated steam comprise a central ignition chamber 13 formed by a rehactory cylinder 18, a series of annular combustion chambers 14 - - 17 and a series of annular water chambers 1 - - 3, each preferably having a central partition providing a double pass for the water. The various chambers may have longitudinal or helicoidal blades on one or both sides. A mixture of atomized liquid or pulverized solid fuel and air is supplied to the central chamber and ignited as by an ignition plug 21, combustion taking place in chamber 14 and the products passing through chambers 15, 16, 17 to an outlet 22. Water is supplied through an inlet 23 and passes through chambers 1, 2, 3 which are interconnected by pipes 24, 25. Or the water may circulate in the order 1, 3, 2. Superheated steam passes off through an outlet 26.
