Sectional boilers.-The sectional boiler set forth in Specification 18160/14 in which powdered fuel is fed from a hopper 2 to a grate 1 past a regulator 4 is modified in the following respects. Toothed grate bars 5 are employed; the sections 6 are made with larger water spaces, and the parts exposed to the fire are provided with heatconducting ribs 8; the combustion chamber 9 is made in two parts, and the water space 10 connects with the elements 6 by bi-conical rings 11; the elements nearest the fire have partitions 13 to increase the circulation; and the casing plates 14 have bars 15 connected to them by bolts, thus leaving an air space 17 which acts as a heatinsulating jacket.
