Abstract

304,525. Birch, J. E. April 10, 1928. Electric stoves.- A drier for enamelled metal plates &c. com prises a rotatable work support above a frame with separately detachable sections carrying electric units 8. The frame comprises detachable bars 10, 13 supported on brackets 14, 17 in a tank 1 and carrying detachable bars 11, 11<a>, 12, 12<a> on brackets 14, on lugs 15 on the bar 10 and in undercut notches in the bar 13. Electric heating units 8 on sockets 9 on the underneath of the inverted channelled bars are connected by wires 16 carrying spring contacts 23 to spring contacts 24 on the bar 13 connected to current supply wires 28. The plate 7 to be dried is rotated on a. hub 5 on a shaft 4 supported by arms 3. The brackets 14 have. guards to keep water supplied to the rim of the tank off the contacts.
