302,984. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges., and Carpmael, A. June 23, 1927. Divided on 274,058, under which a Specification wax laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 9, 1927, and addition to 267,169 and 274,058. Alkylaminoalkylamino compounds.-The process of Specification 274,058 is modified to yield compounds in which the aliphatic side chain is interrupted by oxygen or sulphur atoms or by secondary or tertiary amino groups. In examples. products are obtained by condensing 3-methoxy- 4-isopropyloxyaniline with # - diethylamino-#<1>- chlor-diethylsulphide (Specification 286,087), #- diethylamino-#<1>-chlor-diethylether (Specification 286,087), and ethyldiethylaminoethylaminoethylchloride. 3-Methoxy-4-isopropyloxyaniline is made by alkylating 2-methoxy-4-nitrophenol with isopropyl bromide and reducing the product. Ethyldiethylaminoethylaminoethylchloride is made by treating ethyldiethylaminoethylamine with ethylene oxide, and chlorinating the product by means of thionyl chloride.
