Abstract

302,368. Morse Chain Co., (Assignees of Morse, F. L.). Dec. 16, 1927, [Convention date]. Driving-chains with separate joint pins.-The joints comprise curved bearing surfaces having their centre of curvature on the forward side of the joint in the direction of motion. The Figure shows a joint between adjacent links 3 of a chain intended to run from right to left. Curved pintle parts 4, 5 are secured in the respective links and slide one on the other. The radius of curvature of the bearing surfaces should not exceed onehalf of the pitch of the links.
