Abstract

301,502. Darche, A. A. A. Dec. 2, 1927, [Convention date]. Pistons; connecting- rods.-The gudgeon-pin bearings D are formed in a tubular member T, integral with the piston crown, and formed with slots H to permit oscillation of the connecting rod. The slotted part of the member T is of increased thickness. The piston skirt is formed with circular openings E in line with the gudgeonpin. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the bearings D may be separate and secured to the member T and describes a modification employing a forked connecting-rod embracing a single gudgeon-pin bearing at the ends of the member T. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
