Driving-chains with separate joint pins.-In a transmission chain having studs or rivets with reduced ends to receive washers, plates, or other attachments b, the reduced end consists of an outer part c having a force-fit diameter and an inner part e of greater diameter and separated from the part c by an annular groove d into which metal flows while the member b is forced on to the stud. The groove may be interrupted circumferentially to cause the parts to be locked against relative rotation. The projecting ends of the studs may also be riveted over.
