Abstract

294,985. S.A.B.S. Soc. Anon. pour l'Application des Brevets Schul. Aug. 3, 1927, [Convention date]. Screw propellers. - The blades 6 of a screw propeller correspond to the portions of a normal propeller of which the efficiency lies about the maximum within a range of 3 to 5 per cent. The blades may be mounted on a ring 5, flexible band or chain encircling the hull of the vessel 4 and driven by pinion, chain or friction gearing. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that the blade instead of rotating about the propeller axes may perform a rectilinear movement perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the vessel. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
