Abstract

288,013. Walsall Locks & Cart Gear, Ltd., and Pace, T. E. March 8, 1927. Locks, revolving-barrel ; night latches and like spring locks.-In a latch in which the bolt B is withdrawn by a follower C operated by the barrel of a pin-tumbler lock mechanism 'the lock casing has two sets of pins G, H, Fig. 3, co-operating with a single set in the barrel J which can thus be locked in either of two positions, and the follower has two arms c, d, the former serving to withdraw the bolt in the usual way when the barrel is rotated from the .normal position in one direction, and the latter engaging against the tail b of the bolt to lock it in shot position when the barrel is rotated in the opposite direction to the second barrel-locking position. The barrel is connected to the follower by a bar, not shown, engaging a slot e in the follower, and a knoboperated follower, not shown, is mounted on the cover of the latch-casing in the usual way.
