Abstract
285,190. Parnall, G. G., and Bolas, H. Nov. 30, 1926. Steering and balancing.-Control mechanism for operating devices situated on a removable or foldable part of aircraft is divided into sections which co-operate when the aircraft is assembled and are automatically disconnected when the part is removed or folded. As shown, the control rod 19 or wire mounted on a fuselage terminates in a lever 14 adapted to cooperate with a lever 6 m:ounted on a wing 10, the lever 6 having aileron control rods 5 or wires. The lever 6 is adjustable on an eccentric bush 8<a> and apertured plate 12<a> and is provided with cams 11 which may be designed to give differential movement. The control mechanism is adaptable to disconnectable tail units.
