Abstract

283,297. Alltree, E. R., and Pope, J. Oct. 15, 1926. Fittings, internal. - A box for thermionic valves &c. has an inner skeleton fitting formed from a single blank having two end flaps a<1> each formed with a central opening b to accommodate the ends of the valve while the body part of the blank is slit to provide portions j which, when the fitting is made up, are pressed out from the panels a, g to form intersecting loops or decks k which surround the valve and prevent it moving horizontally. In a modification the material between the slits is removed and the end and central portions of the body part of the blank are creased to provide, when made up, a pair of collapsable tubular members disposed in opposite corners of the fitting.
