Abstract

633,912. Boxes. SESSIONS, Ltd., W., EBOR PRESS, and PHILIPSON, A. L. Sept. 12, 1947, No. 25054. [Class 18] A box is formed from a blank comprising two main walls 3, 11 having extension flaps forming sides 9, ends 12, and closing flaps 4, the flaps 4 covering the wall 3 which is cut to provide a series of article retaining elements 28. The blank is folded to U-form and the extensions on the wall 11 bent to form the sides 9, portions 16 and spaces 18, the extensions thus providing longitudinal channels. A flap 14 attached to the end wall 12 is secured by adhesive to the wall 11 and the tabs 15 on the end walls tucked in. The cut-out portions 28 are pushed inwardly to form transverse spaces 24 and to leave tabs 20 and collars 22 which retain bottles 21. The box may be additionally secured by gummed strips 19 and may be supported in the display position either by the flaps 4 or by a stand or an integral strut attached to the wall 11. The portions 28 may be adhesively secured to the wall 11.
