Abstract

281,865. Windover, W. L. S. Dec. 2, 1926. Collision-guards.- A bumper attachment for a road vehicle comprises two blade springs A, B clamped together at A<1>, B', and diverging at A<2>, B<2>. The part A<2> is curved and is connected to the bumper bar C by a slot in the part A engaged by a bolt E on the bar C; the part B<2> is also curved and terminates in a flat portion B<3> by which it is connected slidably to the bar C by clips F fixed to the bar C. The ends A<1>, B<1> are clamped to the dumb irons by brackets G<3>.
