274,229. Vaughan, C. F. April 27, 1926. Collision-guards.- A buffer-bar of a collisionguard for a vehicle consists of a transverse member b provided with an enlargement b<1> at the rear by which it is engaged by a sliding member a of a spring buffer a<1> attached to the vehicle. The end of the sliding member a may be slotted to receive the enlargement b<1> and the bar b may be passed endwise through the slot or a separate clip a<5> and bolt a<6> may form the securing means. The enlargement b<1> may be circular in cross-section.
