Abstract

A pin g working in a slot f can put the mechanism out of action. The degree of friction of the brake-shoe f on the rim h, Fig. 2, depends on the tension in the springs c, c<1>, which are of unequal strength. The cam device a<1> enables sudden differences of pressure to be applied to the braking surface.
