Abstract

280,273. Wigglesworth, A. J. Aug. 10, 1926. Locking nuts.-The nut is provided with a slot 9 extending from the outer edge to the centre, and with a bevelled bearing face 8. In a modification, both faces of the nut are bevelled. The slot is equal in width to one or more and a half threads, and the amount of the bevel equals the width of the slot. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1141/86 and 1791/91.
