Breech actions, sliding breech-block; stocks; adapting for miniature ammunition.- An automatic pistol having a tilting barrel is provided with springs which tilt the barrel into the open position when the barrel - locking catch is released. As shown, the barrel e is pivoted to the frame at the front by a lug h, Fig. 5, and at the rear has notched depending lugs i adapted to be engaged by a turning locking bolt i<1> operated by a thumbpiece d. Behind the pivot are springs h<1>, Fig. 5, which tend to raise the breech end of the barrel. The breech-slide b is provided with a depending handle a<1> by which it may be manually retracted. The pistol grip is knurled at back, front, and sides, and at the sides has depressions c. A barrel lining-tube may be provided for reducing the calibre. This tube may consist of several parts screwed together.
