277,308. Vogel, O. Sept. 8, 1926, [Convention date]. Pickling.-In a process for pickling iron, one or more colloids such as sulphite cellulose lye, glue, agar-agar, gelatin or molasses are added to the pickling baths described in Specifications 158,768 and 188,713 or the colloids may be used together with waste acid derived from the washing of hydrocarbons and containing compounds with nitrogen rings e.g. pyridylsulphuric acid. The condensation mixture made with the addition of sulphite cellulose lye in the synthesis of quinoline or quinaldine may also be used.
