Abstract

274,472. Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Co., (Assignees of Jarvis, K. W.). July 17, 1926, [Convention date]. Thermionic amplifiers. - In a high-frequency amplifier in which a tapped tuned circuit is arranged to prevent inherent reaction, parasitic oscillations are prevented by means of a stabilizing circuit which provides reverse electromagnetic coupling between the input and output at frequencies above that of the signals but substantially no coupling at the signal frequency. The Figure shows a tapped circuit tuned by the condenser 9 with a neutralizing condenser 18 in which the inductance is in two parts 5, 19 coupled to reversed feed-back inductances 22, 23 to prevent parasitic oscillations. Specification 119,365. is referred to.
