Abstract

272,641. Towler, W. T., and Marsh, R. March 29, 1926. Gases, treating with liquids.-An ammoniacal liquor still comprises a vessel having upper and lower compartments A, B containing packing, such as described in Specification 139,880, and an intermediate compartment C containing milk of lime. Steam enters at an inlet f and ammonia liquor by a pipe j, and the mixture of liquor and lime overflows into the lower compartment through outlets c<1>. Gaseous products are led by a pipe k to a fixing bath and liquid is discharged through a float box L. The lower compartment may be formed separately from the others.
