Abstract

271,590. Ragg, W. March 13, 1926. Cutting slices in succession.-A slicer for vegetables and fruit, of the type comprising a frame having a plane guiding-surface and a blade secured to the frame parallel to the guiding- surface, is characterized by the edge 6 of the guiding-surface 4 being bevelled and sharpened as a cutting-edge, and by the blade 8 being ground on one side only and secured in contact with the frame with its ground side facing the bevel 6. The frame is provided witli lugs 7 to which the blade 8 is secured by rivets, screws or clips. The blade 8 and the frame are preferably so proportioned that they are symmetrical with the handler The slicer is reversible, either the blade 8 or the bevel 6 effecting the cutting. The frame may be stamped from sheet metal.
