Abstract

268,187. Nizery, A. June 11, 1926. Folding bedsteads ; berths.-A bed 1 for a ship's cabin is used in connection with an additional wall bed 1<a> which may be supported above the other and has a frame 7 fitting within the main bed frame 2. The frames comprise angle bars; the horizontal flange of the main frame is disposed at the bottom, that of the fall bed at the top. End cross frames 3. 4 are fixed on the main bed and a lee rail 5 hinged at 6 to turn under the frame. End cross rails 8. 9 on the wall bed 7 fold thereunder, but the lee rail 10 thereon is fixed. The bed 7 is supported on the wall by hooks 13 thereon and folding struts 12 engaging wall staples.
