Abstract
267,381. Hawerkamp, K. July 12, 1926. Treadle mechanism for bicycles and the like comprises a lever 3 pivoted intermediately to a crank 1 and constrained by engagement of its slotted end 5 with a second crank 2 rotated in synchronism with the first crank by a chain 4a, the two cranks being always in phase displacement of 180‹. The resultant path of the end 7 of the lever is shown. The drive may be transmitted through either crank.
