Abstract
267,091. Krupp Grusonwerk Akt.- Ges., F. March 6, 1926, [Convention date]. Cores, covering by winding.-In a machine for winding tape or other strip material about cables &c. and of the kind wherein the supply spools 2, which may be arranged in the same plane or in different planes; are arranged in the winding- frame so that their axes 2a are at right-angles to the axis of the cable 1, the mid-planes 2b of the spools are disposed substantially tangential to the cable at the winding-on points. The tape &c. is guided and braked by parallel pins 10, 16 or staples mounted upon the supports 9 for the spools and adjustable both radially and angularly with respect to the cable. The supports 9 are adjustably mounted upon rods 22, a scale 23 graded according to the diameter of the cable &c. being provided. Specification 9575/13 is referred to in the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a). This reference does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
