Abstract

Ventilating passages, arrangements and adaptations of.-Sanatoria &c. consist of an inner room or compartment 2 surrounded by a shell 4 with separate roof which leaves a continuous and unobstructed space between its roof and walls and the roof and walls of the inner room. Passages 10 are provided to allow of the ingress of air from the outside of the shell to a grating 11 in the floor of the inner room and passages 28 and 9 allow for the egress of air from the inner room and shell respectively and are disposed near to the respective roofs. A lobby or reception room 1 may be provided on one side of the treatment room and is surrounded by a shell 3 with separate roof and is ventilated in a manner similar to the main room. It connects with the main room and the exterior by doors 5 and 6. Separate treatment rooms communicating with each other or with a common passage may be provided in a single building.
