Gauging-apparatus. -An alignment gauge for the back wheel of a motor cycle comprises two parts, (a) a part 4 having a straight referenceedge which part is set by slots and bolts 5, 6 relatively to the centre line of the forked chain stays 2 and secured to a chain stay by a clamp 1, and (b) a second part 7 supplied with the machine when placed in service, so that when the part 7 is placed to engage the gap 8 with the inner surface of the wheel rim, the straight edge part engages the straight edge of the part 4. The setting of the wheel with respect to the centre line of the vehicle may thus be checked at any time.
