Abstract
A fall arrest post with a structure intended to absorb energy for safe working at height. The post may have a crumpling zone (6, fig. 2). The post may be extruded. The post may have an extruded circular profile 9 with two layers, an extruded base plate 1, and an extruded cover 10 to provide weathering. The circular profile may have a solid inner layer (8, fig. 2) and a hollow outer layer (5, fig. 2). The outer layer may have a crumpling structure (6, fig. 2).
Description
Invention FallsecureTM dynamic post. A height safety post with an extruded profile and "crumple-zone" design which enables the post to absorb energy.

FallsecureTM a fall prevention device. This invention incorporates passive energy absorption without the risk of accidental deployment. It is also 100% recyclable.

Description
FallsecureTM dynamic post is a fall arrest device. It is designed in such a way as to enable it to both restrain the user or absorb energy and reduce the g-force experienced by its users in the event of a fall arrest.
Currently, the majority of roof safety posts are either rigid or have complex springs or coils which are prone to accidental deployment and risks the user on an unsafe system common problem. The design of Fallsecure TM post is to reduce the amount of g-force experienced by the operative with the safety associated with a static post and integral shock absorber associated with a dynamic post.
CO Fallsecure TNI dynamic post incorporates an extruded profile which features an inner layer [8] and an outer layer [5]. Structural strength is provided by the inner layer [8] which is a solid part. Whereas, the outer layer [5] which features crumple zones [6] is 14) utilised to perform the energy absorption function. In the event C\J that an operative finds themselves in a freefall, the outer layer [5] will crumple on the base plate [1] as the post deforms acting as the shock absorber reducing the amount of g-force experienced by the operative.
In the drawings Figure 1 illustrates the extruded base plate for Fallsecure TM post.
Figure 2 illustrates the extruded circular profile to be used as the post.
Figure 3 illustrates the extruded plate. Its function will be to weather the base.
Figure 4 illustrates an assembly of Fallsecure TM post.

Claims (3)
- Claims Fallsecure TM post, as illustrated in figure 4 is characterised by an extruded aluminium circular profile [9] with 2 layers, an extruded base plate [1] and an extruded cover [10] to provide weathering. The circular profile consists of a solid inner layer [8] and a hollow outer layer [5]. The outer layer features a crumpling structure [6]. Modifications and variations can be made without deviating from the scope of this invention. Therefore, the following claims will cover modifications and variations which fall within the scope of this invention.1. A fall arrest post, with which its structure is intended to CO absorb energy.
- 2. In accordance with claim one, whereby the post features a crumpling zone [6], as shown in figure 2.
- 3. In accordance with claim two, whereby the post is extruded.
