Ladders.-Non-slipping shoes for ladders or the like are formed of side cheeks a connecting separate shoe portions b which are faced with asbestos, rubber, or the like. The cheeks are perforated to receive a bolt j which passes through the side of the ladder or through a socket which receives the end of the ladder side, and frame members l and end flanges m may be provided on the cheeks to form a well. The shoe may be attached to the upper end of the ladder side to rest against a vertical wall.
