Doors for passenger vehicles.-In a convertible open-to-closed vehicle body of the kind in which two doors 14, 16 are provided on the same side separated by a pillar 11 and carry sliding windows 27 and adjustable window guides, the doors are so shaped that, in the closed position, as shown in Fig. 2, one of them, or the two jointly, overlaps the full width of the pillar 11 in the direction of the width of the doors, and one or both of the adjacent window-guides 22, 23 on the doors are situated in the overlapping portion or portions thereof so that the upper adjustable sections 24, 25 of the guides, when raised to the operative, position, abut against each other to form a weather-tight joint. In the construction shown, both doors 14, 16 are hinged at their forward edges, and only the rear-door 16, which is hinged at 17 to the pillar 11, is provided with an overlapping portion, such overlapping portion being formed at one edge of a metal casing 21 on the inside of the door and receiving the window-guide 23. Both doors 14, 16 may, however, be hinged to the pillar 11 and each overlap the pillar to a smaller extent on the inside, or both doors may shut against the pillar and overlap the same on the outside.
