Moulding indiarubber and wheel tyres; moulds. - In apparatus for vulcanizing tyre treads comprising hollow chests 1, 1<a> through which a heating medium can be circulated, embracing a twopart removable metal mould 4, 4<a>, the mould halves are formed with air spaces 5, in order that the sides of the tyre shall not be heated to the same temperature as the tread. The mould is provided with a continuous tread ring 6. To facilitate adherence of the various parts, the chests 1, mould parts 4, and ring 6 may be made of different metals having coefficients of expansion increasing in that order.
