Abstract

256,064. Hanwell, A. F. Aug. 24, 1925. Multiple-bolt fastenings. - A turn-button is provided with a spring-pressed plunger mounted in the door at the side of the turn-button to obstruct the path of the turn-button as it moves' into and out of operative position. Vertical bolts may be pivoted to the turn-button actuating means. The turn-button 4 for securing a pair of vehicle or other doors &c. 3, 5 provided with bolting rods 7 moved into recesses by the rocker bar 9 when the handle is turned,. is prevented from becoming unfastened by the end 11 of a spring-pressed plunger 1. mounted in the door and which can be retracted to allow the turnbutton 4 to move past and then project to prevent it moving back. The plunger may be withdrawn by hand. or may have one or two bevelled faces to permit automatic retraction in one or both directions of movement of the turn-button.
