Abstract

255,780. Pels, H. April 15, 1926. Shearing; shear-blades. - In a sheet-shearing machine with upper blade 7, reciprocated through linkage 2, 3, 5 from an eccentric 6, and lower blade 8, each with transverse cutters 9, means are provided for varying the inclination of the blade 7. The links 2 are hinged to nuts 12 engaging screws 14 secured axially within a blade-holder 1 and rotated through worm gear from shafts 18. These latter may be crossconnected. A pendulum 20 indicates the setting of the blade on a scale 23.
