Abstract
255,036. K³hn, W. W. J. H. July 7, 1925, [Convention date]. Fixed - abutment type; balancing moving parts. - In a rotary pump having vanes 6 sliding in radial slots in a drum 5, the movable guide rings 9 for the rollers or blocks 8 on the vanes extend to the inner face of the cylinder 1, thus covering the side-walls 2, 3 in this direction. Within the diameter of the guides 9, the drum 5 contacts directly with the walls 2, 3. Ducts 11, Fig. 2, or apertures 10, Fig. 4, connect the drum slots with the working- chambers to relieve the vanes of radial thrust. The guides 9 may co-operate with a sleeve 12, Fig. 6, which is provided with apertures for the inlet and outlet of the working-fluid. The sleeve 12 may be integral with the guides 9, Fig. 7.
