Abstract

Spray carburettors. - In carburettors. having a disc or butterfly type of throttle valve, the disc a is of such thickness at its edge a<1> as to cover the pilot passage c and is formed in one half with a chamber b adapted to communicate or register with such passage when the throttle is closed. The chamber b communicates with the air inlet and mixture outlet sides of the valve through passages d, e respectively. The pilot passage may supply fuel or a mixture thereof with air. Where the throttle disc is of insufficient thickness, a suitably bored or chambered piece may be fitted to the edge thereof.
