Supporting.-An electric lamp is suspended by a chain b, a cord or the like, threaded through guide elements in the reflector a and in a bellshaped support f, so that it can be adjusted by varying the effective lengths of the different suspending stretches. The support f, preferably connected to the lamp wire g, is formed with a tubular guide rim e having apertures e<1> corresponding in number with guides d on the reflector a, the chain b being threaded through the guides d and through the segments of the rim e as shown in Fig. 4. The chain may be endless or the ends of the chain may be connected to an eyelet d or to a point on the rim e.
