Abstract

A grenade, for use with war games such as paintball or airsoft, includes a body A with a series of LED lights C. The lights C are arranged to give off pulses of light in order to dazzle or disorientate people. The lights C may be operated via a wireless remote system.

"SSG" Strobe Stun Grenade.
Background
This invention is to create a distraction strobe grenade aimed at the Airsoft, Paintball, War-game enactment market.
The SSG is a strobe grenade is to be used in night or darkened situations to get the fuller effect and with 9 different functions enabling it to flash at different speeds or be full on or strobe, the grenade would be used to disorientate players due to the burst of light it emits.
The SSG is controlled by a wireless control from up to 15 meters away, once set to the setting you want you can roll it into a darkened place wait for other players to enter activate it via the control and you have the advantage as they will be disorientated.
The benefit to the current market I see for this is that it produces light to disorientate people not sound or smoke.
Statement of invention
A 150mm long 60 Old clear tube containing 12-lOW pure white Super Bright LEDs Attached to an aluminium square centre piece Powered by a 12v Tamiya battery which is protected in the centre of the aluminium square.
Advantages The advantages of the SSG strobe stun grenade is it produces a bright light in a dark area to disorientate players allowing you to gain advantage on them.
It is a hand held device which you roll or place down in a dark area to gain the most effect from the device.

Detailed Description
The "SSG" Strobe Stun Grenade is a 12v Tamiya battery operated strobe grenade.
It is 150mm long SCold wide with strengthened Acrylic clear tubing on the outside with a polished Aluminium square tube 1 1/2 x 1 34 again at a 150mm length which sits inside the acrylic tube.( See figure 1, A and B).
On the Aluminium square is screwed into place using 6mm long 2mm self-tapping screws are three lOW pure white Super Bright LEDs on each of the four sides of the Aluminium square with a 10mm gap between each led on all four sides.( See figure 1, C).
There is a heat sink paste applied to the back of every LED before it is screwed into place to act as a heat dissipater, the removes the heat from the LED into the Aluminium square and enables itto be active for much longer times.
The LEDS are chain linked to each other via the and -points on every LED.
There is a 1GAWG Silicon Wire Super flexible high temperature wire one red for + and one black for, they are soldered onto each contact forming a continual chain from one LED to another until all have been joined on both the black and the red wires. (See figure 2, D and E).
The red and black wire then extend into the inside of the Aluminium square to be soldered onto the wires to the 12v wireless LED controller unit which is then connected to a mini Tamiya male connector this allows you to connect any battery up to 12v with a female connector that will fit inside the Aluminium square.with all the cables and the 12v wireless LED controller.( See figure 5, J, K, I and M The inside of the Aluminium square has a 1mm foam padding on all four internal sides to pad and protect the battery and all the cables inside it.
The ends of the tube are sealed by two Black Blanking End Caps Round Tube Pipe Inserts that are a 60 o/d tapered slightly to fit inside the acrylic tube tight to form a water tight seal. (See figure 3, G).
In the top blanking end cap is a 2" 550 Para cord Parachute Rope Lanyard Mil Spec TYPE Ill loop which enables you to hook the SSG Strobe Stun Grenade to either your belt or attach it to a tree or wall. (See figure 3, F).
There is also 550 Para cord Parachute Rope Lanyard Mil Spec TVPE III wrapped around the acrylic tube either end eight times to form a protective barrier between the acrylic tube and the floor or any had surface it may come into contact with this pulled tight as it is wrapped around and glued into place to stop it from moving. (See figure 4, H).
Controlling the whole thing is a 12v wireless remote which has a iSmeter range of use, which controls the different functions for the SSG Strobe Stun Grenade. (See figure 6, N).

6... Plastic Black Blanking End Caps Round Tube Pipe Inserts 60mm o/d with rEgis to make a waterproof seal into the S4mmi/d of the acrylic tube.

L.. These are the 16AWG silicone + and -wires connecting the RF led wireless controller unit to the leds and to the power supply.
K... This is the Rf wireless controller unit which receives signals from the 12v wireless remote which can send a signal from upto iSmeters away.
L... This is a mini Tamiya connector to allow you to connect any 12v battery with a female version of the Tamiya connector to power the SSG Strobe Stun Grenade.
M,.. This is the 12v battery with a mini Támiya female connector to connect to the male mini Tamiya connector on the SSG Strobe Stun Grenade.

Installing for RF Wireless Remote 1. Power Supply This unit accepts DC 5V to 24V power supply. The red cable should be connected to positive and black cable to negative.

Claims A 150mm long 60 old clear tube containing 12-lOW pure white Super Bright LEDs Attached to an aluminium square centre piece Powered by a 12v Tamiya battery which is protected in the centre of the aluminium square.1... A SSG Strobe Stun Grenade a hand held device that can be rolled or placed.
  2. 2... Emits a burst of light to disorientate other people.
  3. 3... operated via the wireless controller.
  4. 4... used is Airsoft, Paintball or other war re-enactment scenarios.
  5. 5.. Three lOW pure white Super Bright LEDs spaced at 10mm apart on all four sides to produce a. full 360 field or strobe or flash.
