Abstract

251,184. Burns, J. E. Nov. 5, 1925. Saws.-The cutting edge of a knife or other blade has two or more serrated portions 6 separated by recesses 7. The serrations are formed by relatively fine grooves inclined to the cutting edge. The grooves may, as shown, be formed alternately on opposite faces of the blade, or may be all on one face, and the grooves of adjacent portions 6 are oppositely inclined.
