Abstract

249,176. Amsler, A., and Ewak Akt.-Ges. Nov. 11, 1924. Folding and collapsable vehicles.-A collapsable wheeled receptacle into which parcels are loaded promiscuously, comprises two opposite flexiblymovable interrupted walls adapted to be joined together above the loaded packages to bind them together and also carry the lifting-hook. In the illustrated form, the receptacle comprises a wheeled base member to each side of which are secured four ropes 3 connected by laths 4, to form a pair of flexihle openwork sides. During the filling operation, eyes at the ends of the top bars 4 are engaged by corner bars 5 stuck temporarily in holes in the base to keep the sides upright. When filled, the middle ropes 3 are drawn together by means of a strap 7. The corner bars are then utilized to form end walls to. the receptacle by engaging them with the eyes at the ends of th bars 4. A spring snap-fastening on the ends of the corner bars prevents disengagement until it is positively released.
