Abstract
248,775. Deutsche Werke Akt.-Ges. March 6, 1925, [Convention date]. Alternating-current motors.-In a compensated motor having a primary winding W1 and an auxiliary winding W2 on one member, usually the stator, and a squirrel-cage winding W3 and 'a commutator winding W4 on the rotor, the commutator winding is arranged to be disconnected from the auxiliary winding at starting, and the resistances of the two secondary windings are approximately equal to one another referred to the primary part. The controller, which is preferably mounted on the motor, is arranged so that in the starting position a, the primary winding W1 is in star connection. In the running position b, the primary winding is in delta connection, and the commutator brushes are connected to the auxiliary winding W2.
