Valves or cocks fitted with independently actuated supplementary valves. -A ball cock of the kind provided with an adjustable pin with a tapered end for temporarily closing the exit orifice has both the pin and orifice screw threaded. In the form shown in the Figure, the screwed pin a<1> is arranged coaxially with the orifice a<2> controlled by the main valve band has a tapered screw threaded end adapted to engage a corresponding thread formed in the end of the orifice a<2>. In a modification the screwed end of the pin engages a seat formed in a partition in the branch a<5>.
