Superheating by steam.-In a steam power installation comprising a water-tube boiler 12 supplying steam to a multi-stage turbine 26, or other prime mover, an auxiliary high pressure boiler for supplying steam to inter-stage heaters 29 is built into the main boiler and consists of headers 21, 21<a> arranged on one side of 'the main headers 18, 19, water tubes corresponding to the main water tubes, and a steam drum 24, which may be placed either inside or outside the boiler setting. The headers 21a are supported from the main steam drum 20 by closed nipples 25. The condensate from the heating coils 35 of the interstage heaters is returned by a pump 39 to the steam drum 24.
